We love Melbourne’s northern suburbs.  The fun times never seem to end there.

If you want a day out with the kids, you can visit a number of locations for wholesome entertainment.  Funfields has the best water slides in the world.  Crocs Playcentre lets the young ones bounce, jump, and slide while you sit and relax.  The annual Whittlesea Show hearkens back to the days of yore and simpler times.

For more adventures, you can go to the Gresswell Forest, natural beauty seemingly hidden in Macleod.  Or take in a movie at the Village Drive-In in Coburg.  Or visit the Emu Bottom Homestead in Sunbury, the oldest homestead near Melbourne.  Or go to Montsalvat artist colony and gallery in Eltham for a concert or exhibition.  There are just so many choices.

And of course, if food and drink is your favorite thing, then there is no better place to be.  Misty’s Diner in Reservoir is a throwback to the 1950s, Farm Vigano in South Morang is an Italian-lover’s dream, and Dexter in Preston is a meat eater’s paradise.  The Kooinda Brewery in Heidelberg West has amazing brews and the Eltham wine tours will introduce you to wine, cider, and ale all along the Yarra Valley.

The northern suburbs are indeed a terrific location to live and play.
